The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. At Flux Marine, in addition to our competitive salary and benefits, our employees share in the company's success with our employee incentive stock option program.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p><ul> <li>Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. </li></ul><ul> <li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. </li></ul><ul> <li>Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. </li></ul><ul> <li>Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal policies. </li></ul><ul> <li>Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. </li></ul><ul> <li>Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making. </li></ul><ul> <li>Coordinate audits, liaise with external auditors, and implement audit recommendations. </li></ul><ul> <li>Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. </li></ul><ul> <li>Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance department. </li></ul><ul> <li>Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing training and development opportunities. </li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications:</strong> </p><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred). </li></ul><ul> <li>[5+] years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior or supervisory role. </li></ul><ul> <li>Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. </li></ul><ul> <li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. </li></ul><ul> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul><ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. </li></ul><ul> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul><ul> <li>Experience with process improvement initiatives and financial systems implementation is a plus. </li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Notice</strong> </p><p>Flux Marine is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
