The Financial Accounting Manager is a key team member through involvement in annual financial reporting and playing a key role in external financial statement audits.
This role involves preparing statutory financial statements for various entities within the group and working with advisers to ensure compliance with local regulations and reporting deadlines.
The Financial Reporting Manager also assists with US GAAP SEC filing requirements as required by the external reporting US team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual statutory financial documents in various jurisdictions including (but not limited to) the UK, France, Germany, Poland, India, Australia and Singapore
- Work closely with local accounting advisors to meet statutory requirements within local deadlines
- Provide assistance on technical accounting topics where required, such as the introduction of new accounting standards
- Play a key role in the group’s annual audits and interim reviews
- Reconcile accounts prepared under local GAAP against Promethean records
- Partner with IT to continue to automate and improve financial processes
- Assist in formal documentation of accounting controls for the financial reporting process
- Assist US external reporting team with US GAAP SEC filing requirements where needed
- Support and lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
- Provide financial information to the Tax team to assist with preparing tax returns
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- 3 - 5+ years of PQ accounting experience
- Experience of statutory reporting under IFRS, US GAAP Advantageous but not required
- Ideally from an audit practice background
- Experience of working in a SOx compliance environment is desirable
- Project management skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships across multiple geographies
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Excellent Excel/IT skills
- Accounting ERP and financial reporting tool experience
- Communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
Salary is £41,000 - £49,000 Plus bonus eligible
