Create and advise on strategies, pipelines and processes to migrate data contained within Microsoft SQL Server databases to and from the cloud and on-premise servers.

Project
The immediate project is about 2 months of work to do. If they're good and produce work quickly, we can have them continue working on the project after as we'll have enough work to keep iterating on it for at least 3-6 months additionally.

We'll be transferring a set of servers and services from a on-premise environment to the cloud, in AWS. The new cloud environment will be spun up/torn down by using scripts, so that we have the process automated. We will also be creating systems that are scalable with high levels of traffic with minimal human intervention, fault-tolerant and highly-available, detailed alerting, logging and monitoring for diagnostics, and enforcing more security measures to safeguard ourselves and our customers. Nearing the edges of our time/resource budget for the project, we need to build CI/CD pipelines that will smoothly handle automated deployments to the environment, across several applications. If it doesn't happen in this project, it'll have to happen in a different one, so I thought I'd mention it. We have people inhouse focusing on these CI/CD pipelines though, so this isn't a strong need… but expert talent is always a plus if we find it bundled in with other skills we want.
