The Power Auctions software team works closely with the world's leading experts on auction design, implementing innovative ideas from an academic environment in real-world applications of high economic and social impact. Our team built and successfully ran the highest revenue auction ever, an $82 billion FCC spectrum auction. Power Auctions is a stable, profitable, 20-year-old company with a strong track record of delivering quality to our customers.
We are currently looking for software developers with Ember experience to join our team. We value well-structured JavaScript code, so are looking for candidates who have worked with recent versions of Ember, specifically using Native Classes, TypeScript, Octane, and Glimmer. All of our code is test-driven because our solutions have to be correct. Given the nature of our project deliveries, we are able to stay current with the latest versions of our languages and tools.
Our development team strives for a supportive and cooperative environment. Everyone has a voice, and everyone is recognized for their contributions. We are all professionals, and we treat each other as such. We value initiative and autonomy balanced with a culture of deep collaboration and strong communication. We have a very strong testing mindset because errors can be catastrophic in high-stakes auctions. Our goal is to design clean and flexible software because we are building a platform that must be able to handle new customers and projects.
You will be collaborating with our Design, Product, and QA teams to develop new software for different auction designs and customers. You may be asked to design a complex workflow or implement a data-rich screen of bidding information. You may also be asked to interface directly with our customers at their sites to understand their requirements.
Power Auctions is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We encourage candidates from underrepresented minorities to submit resumes for consideration. Please note that this position does require U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
