We are currently looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team.
Your role will encompass:
- Mechanical System Installation: Supervise the installation and assembly of mechanical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, piping, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that mechanical systems are being installed correctly, and to identify and address any issues or deviations from the project plans.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all mechanical systems meet industry standards and project specifications. Address any non-compliance issues promptly.
- Material Procurement: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and spare parts necessary for mechanical systems.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the project budget by tracking expenses related to mechanical systems and providing input for cost control measures.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the construction team and other personnel. Address safety concerns and incidents as they arise.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, drawings, schedules, and as-built documents for mechanical systems.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to mechanical systems, including equipment malfunctions, and propose effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems align with the overall project design and schedule.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to site personnel and contractors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a construction site is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, HVAC design software, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and schedules.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
