The Gender & Sexuality Therapy Center (G&STC) is a group private practice offering competent and knowledgable psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, partnerships and families in Midtown and remotely in NY state. We're currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for fee-for-service psychotherapists with a strong preference for full-time positions (25 completed sessions per week).
G&STC specializes in gender, sexuality and relationships, and provide a range of services, including psychotherapy, supervision, workshops, and consultation.
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR:
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC seeking experience in a private setting
- LCSW/LMHC who are interested in working privately, but don’t want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice
- LCSW/LMHC who are interested in working privately, but not ready or interested to be in a solo practice
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC who want to work in a group practice environment
- LMSW/MHC who wants to accrue clinical hours in a private setting
- LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC who wants to expand their competence regarding working with LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous folks, and with sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual pain, sexual functioning, and sexual compulsive behaviors
- A queer, trans, kinky and/or poly therapist looking to work within the community and develop a professional therapeutic practice and identity under the supervision and guidance of sex therapists

DUTIES:
- Phone consultations
- Intakes
- Full time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 28-30 clients, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families (Full time is considered 25 completed sessions per week)
- Part time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 18 clients, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families (Part time is considered 15 completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 15 may be possible)
- Maintains case notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation
- Provide group therapy
- Blog writing 4x/year, optional
- Participates in weekly specialized individual and group clinical supervision
- Assists in creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, trainings and seminars, as interested/needed
- Marketing tasks for self and G&STC
REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET ALL LISTED):
- Possess an LMSW, MHC, LMHC, LCSW or LCSW-R and be licensed in New York
- Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC (we know this can be intimidating and we are looking for therapists who want of a place to set up roots to come and grow with us!)
- Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities, such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Feel comfortable networking and marketing under the guidance of your supervisor
- Feel comfortable collecting and discussing fees with clients under the guidance of your supervisor
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- At least two years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
- At least one year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy
- At least one year of experience in providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals
- At least one year of experience in providing therapy for sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexual pain compulsive sexual behaviors
- Must have a high level of competence with our practice's specialty
- Highly responsive to email communication
- Organized and able to submit progress notes and out of network submission accurately and in a timely manner, and in accordance of G&STC policies
COMPENSATION PACKAGE G&STC:
- Onboarding Stipend (Part time and full time: $225)
- $45-55 per session depending on licensure and experience (Part time and full time)
- Sick pay (Part-time and full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked) + Paid time off (Full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked), ~3 weeks of accrued/combined Sick & PTO for full time
- Professional Development Reimbursement Stipend (Full time: $250/year)
- Healthcare Stipend (Full time: $200/month)
- Paid Individual Supervision (at an admin/non-billable rate)
- Internet Reimbursement Stipend (Part time and full time: $50/month)
- 401k with 4% employer match (Different eligibility for part-time and full time)
