Telespazio Belgium is currently looking for Galileo In Orbit Testing (IOT) Engineer in support to the ESA Navigation Directorate for the supervision and execution of the Galileo satellite IOT campaigns based in ESEC, in Belgium.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain Security clearance from EU country.
What is expected from you:
- Support the preparation and execution of the Galileo Satellites Payload In Orbit Test activities from ESEC Galileo IOT Station;
- Operate the Galileo Test Receivers that are used to validate the navigation signals;
- Follow up the technical procurement, if any, of the IOT ground infrastructure update;
- Support installing and improving Galileo Complementary IOT Infrastructure (hardware and software) and other day-to-day activities, including validation and documentation.
- Follow up on the verification and validation of the IOT ground infrastructure;
- Coordinate the operations and maintenance activities carried out at ESEC and related both to the commissioning of the Galileo satellites and the hosting of the IOT Infrastructure.
- Support any further development of the Galileo IOT infrastructure (definition, installation, validation)
What you offer
- Applicants for this post should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in electric engineering, preferably in the telecommunications field, complemented with practical experience in in-orbit testing, earth station technology, satellite payload, test methods and calibration, as well as an understanding of satellite navigation systems.
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain Security clearance from EU country.
- Applicants should demonstrate good technical expertise previously exercised in a similar function and the capacity to work within a multidisciplinary environment and with external organizations, previous involvement in IOT campaigns will be considered as an asset.
- Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They should be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
- Applicants must also be able to develop innovative solutions in order to provide the most appropriate support for projects.
- The working languages are English and French. Due to the peculiarities of this function requiring frequent interfacing with external entities a good working knowledge of both languages is required.

Where
You will be working within ESEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in Belgium as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to Belgium for this position.
