About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team. An Assistant Accountant in Celestino is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing vendor and customer interactions, reconciling accounts, monitoring cash flow, overseeing inventory, and providing support in various accounting tasks to facilitate the smooth financial operation of the company.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record accounting transactions and various expenses, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers and reconcile balances.
• Oversee the reconciliation and settlement of advances, ensuring adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
• Process payments and financial documents such as invoices and statements accurately and within expected time periods.
• Verify balances in account books and rectify discrepancies.
• Perform thorough bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of commercial and accounting agreements.
• Regularly monitor and analyze cash flows across our store network to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee inventory control processes, assisting with stock reconciliations.
• Provide support in other related accounting tasks as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2 years work experience in computerized accounting with Class C category books, preferably within a retail company.
• Good knowledge and familiarity with Greek Accounting Standards (GAS).
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SoftOne).
• Experience in accounting with monthly reporting processes will be considered a plus.
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to consistency and focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills, ensuring keen attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
