Job Summary
The Manager of Learning & Education will spearhead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive training and instructional design initiatives. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of learning professionals to deliver high-quality, innovative educational programs that support multiple product lines. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in instructional design methodologies and corporate training techniques, with a proven track record in both delivering training and creating engaging asynchronous learning experiences.
As a key leader, the Manager of Learning & Education will collaborate across departments to ensure that training structures, content, assessments, and metrics align with the defined learning outcomes and educational needs of customers, employees, and partners. This role is pivotal in building a robust learning ecosystem that drives the overall success of the organization through best practices in training and education.
Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership: Partner with product line and operations leadership to plan and execute key internal and customer-facing educational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and learning outcomes.
- Learning Management System Implementation: Oversee the deployment and management of multiple Learning Management Systems (LMSs) in platforms such as Skilljar, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption.
- Content Development: Lead the development of content models and information architecture for help centers and technical documentation using tools like Zendesk, Salesforce Knowledge, and Microsoft Knowledgebase.
- Mentorship and Professional Development: Mentor and upskill learning design professionals on industry best practices, including the use of tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, ClipChamp, Snagit, Articulate, and Audacity.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Provide expert consultation on education-based initiatives, including staffing, project management, and the development of tools and templates.
- Community Leadership: Lead and foster communities of practice across education functions, including technical writing, instructor-led training, and on-demand content development.
- Process Improvement: Understand business priorities and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes, creating efficiencies and scalability within the training programs.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure adherence to established training programs, maintaining high standards of content delivery and learner engagement.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a technical educator or similar role, with a focus on the development and analysis of successful education programs.
- At least 3+ years of experience as a technical trainer, instructor, or in a related educational role.
- Proven experience in instructional design and courseware development.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with learning measurement and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with working across cross-functional and remote teams and managing product development lifecycles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in implementing and managing multiple LMS platforms.
- Experience with instructional design tools and content creation software.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading and managing team members.

Salary Range Disclosure
The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.
Salary Range
US Remote: $75,000 - $82,000 USD per year
