Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer for an exciting opportunity with our client, a leading company in the plastics manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and systems. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance activities within the manufacturing department.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Design and develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to optimize operations.
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment are continuously monitored and maintained to prevent breakdowns.
  • Administer and control the department's maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Respond to equipment faults and perform routine scheduled maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdown problems efficiently.
  • Oversee the installation of new parts, ensuring equipment operates correctly.
  • Conduct quality inspections on completed maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain and manage maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act within the department.
  • Execute ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
  • Maximize plant availability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and management of maintenance systems.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience working in a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
  • Proficiency in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, AC inverters, and servomotor systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong self-motivation and discipline in executing tasks.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
