Policies drive change within and beyond government. They quite literally direct citizens on what we can and can’t do, but the feedback loop for policymaking is broken in too many governments. Esper was founded in 2018 with the goal of building a system of record for policymaking in government. Our mission is to help governments drive positive change for citizens with a system of record that connects stakeholders with the resources they need to be successful.
Today, Esper has thousands of government users relying on our software to develop and syndicate policy across the United States– and we’re just getting started! We are looking for an experienced VP of Product to drive our important mission forward.
Job Description:
The VP of Product is responsible for aligning the product organization with the company’s overall strategy. A typical day for this role might include: strategizing on how the product supports GTM objectives, coaching Product Managers on sprint planning, collaborating with Professional Services on a tricky product question, and more! No two days are the same and the job requires someone who is energized by problem solving and moving fast.
As the de facto product leader in the company, the buck stops with you on the execution of our product roadmap and ensuring the product team is wholly in sync with other teams. You’ll need to be able to effectively communicate at abstract strategic levels and get into the details of a sprint with PMs and engineers.
If all of this excites you, keep reading!
