Sr. BI Developer

ARC Group, a Forbes-ranked top 20 recruiting and executive search firm, has an immediate opportunity for a BI Developer, with our client, a large healthcare company in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension and will be 100% remote during EST business hours.

This position can only be worked on W2. No other payment term, visa transfers or sponsorship allowed.

Description:
We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, wed like to meet you.

Essential Functions:

Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)
Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation

Job Requirements:

Visualize data and information for business customers through the creation of reports and queries using Microsofts technology stack.
Create Power BI reports based on business requirements with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
Optimize Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
Develop concepts of reports, analytics and visualizations development, using DAX, SQL, tuning, data models and semantic models.
Leverage MS BI tools to answer questions, solve problems, and create reporting solutions
Ensure reports meet data accuracy, query performance, usability and functionality requirements.
Assist other team members with SQL queries necessary to extract, transform, or load data as part of integration and analysis development.

Required Experience:

5+ years related work experience, professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
Expertise in PowerBI Dashboard Development & DAX queries
Experience with SQL server/PostGreSQL required
Hands-on working experience creating visuals and building dashboards and customizations using Microsoft Power BI.
Experience in optimizing Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization
Experience with other Data Visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, SAP BOBJ, Cognos, MSTR) and Microsoft Reporting tools SSRS & SSAS

Required Education:
Related Bachelors degree or related work experience
