Electrician

Job Description/Summary:

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Electrician The Electrician will have the responsibility of maintaining, testing, modifying, adjusting and repairing electrical generation systems, electrical premises wiring, and electrical utilization devices.  Electrical generation systems may include: service points, generators, uninterruptible power sources, switches, and transformers.  Electrical premises wiring may include: switches, conductors and raceways, receptacles, current limiting devices, feeders and branch circuits all accessories necessary to distribute electricity, distribution and load panels, emergency systems/shunt trips, legally required standby systems, optional standby systems, interconnected electric power productions sources, circuits and equipment operating at less than 50 volts, Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 remote-control circuits, fire alarm systems, communications circuits, transformers, transformer vaults (including secondary ties), phase converters, capacitors, resistors, lightning systems,  and load banks.  Electrical utilization devices may include: lighting systems, emergency lighting, motors, resistance coils, alarm systems, fixed electric space-heating equipment, fixed electric heating equipment for pipelines and vessels, fire pumps, motor circuits, motor controllers, variable frequency drives (VFD), reactors, storage batteries, equipment over 600 volts nominal, and irradiator equipment

Required Experience/Skills:

• Journeyman’s certificate. 
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• GED
• Comparable work experience
• 7 Years Trade
• Applicable codes, laws and regulations
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
