About the Team:
Quizlet provides ML-driven learning tools focused on high school and college students worldwide. About the Role:
In this critical leadership position, you'll be reporting to our VP of Product Engineering. You will work closely with your Business, Product, and Design counterparts as well as Data Science and Data Engineering peers to deliver a world-class consumer internet subscription experience (Quizlet Plus) that drives our large and growing business.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver or San Francisco office hubs.
In this role you will:
- Lead the cross functional engineering team responsible for critical user facing features, back-end services, and infrastructure
- Prioritize short- and long-term goals, along with architectural trade-offs to ensure the team is able to deliver quality results while meeting the team’s deliverables
- Collaborate and build strong cross-functional partnerships with Product Management, Design, and Business Operations
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with across different functions and levels of the organization, including executive leadership team
- Hire, coach, and promote a diverse and talented team of full stack engineers and managers
- Be a critical leader contributing to Quizlet’s broader success
What you bring to the table:
- 3+ years experience in a highly collaborative, growth-driven environment centered on subscriptions and payments
- 5+ years experience successfully leading, managing, and coaching multiple engineering teams
- 8+ years of hands on software development experience
- You will be responsible for strategically developing and implementing plans to drive the success of the subscriptions Engineering organization
- Strong interest in developing technical and people leaders, supporting career development
- Infectious enthusiasm about building a highly successful and growing consumer business
- Experience leading teams of 15+
- Ability to develop a results-driven culture focused on core values of ownership and accountability

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $220,000 - $300,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
