Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our Hong Kong accounting team.

The person in this role will help enhance our AP processes and systems so our team can continue to provide robust support to our firm. You’ll work alongside our global accounting team to help track, reconcile and process firm expenses. 

Additional responsibilities of the role will include:

• Participating in the month-end close process and the preparation of various reconciliations, schedules and analysis
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on invoicing and payment solutions
• Working closely with other team members, including our accounting-aligned technology teams, to roll out new processes and make improvements to existing ones 

This role will provide a great introduction and exposure to the larger operations of the firm as you interact with nearly every area in our Hong Kong office. The right candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who is willing to get involved and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment.

Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, time management and mindset for continuous improvement will contribute to your success in this role.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related field
• Relevant prior experience in handling accounts payable or expense control
• Proactive and motivated to work independently
• Organised with great communication skills; able to build strong collaborative relationships with various groups across the firm
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to critically analyse data
• Financial services background and knowledge in IFRS, US or HK GAAP, a plus
• Fluency in English required
