Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:

Ruggable is searching for a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Birmingham. We are looking for someone with previous warehouse experience, who is ready to skyrocket their career as we level-up our first UK-based facility! You will manage day-to-day warehousing operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, material procurement, line-side replenishment and inventory control. In addition to daily warehouse operations, you will have the opportunity to identify areas of improvement and help build best practices. You will be the go-to person for all warehouse and materials needs within your facility, working in collaboration with Supply Chain and Production Manager. What You’ll Do:

• Ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations and that
• Ruggable is compliant with safety and legal practices, procedures and record keeping
• Assist in training, coaching and scheduling warehouse associates and shift leads
• Oversee day-to-day and strategic activities of warehousing team
• Lead team to achieve department goals in safety, cost, delivery, quality
• Develop and implement standard work and best practices for inventory control, shipping/receiving, and replenishment processes
• Evaluate, propose and implement cost-savings and waste reduction projects using a
• data-backed approach
• Partner with department leaders to ensure coordination of activities and maintain excellent service levels
• Control plant inventory levels by organizing and conducting physical counts and reconciliations
• Optimize physical layout of warehouse to support safety and cost targets
• Work alongside plant leadership to advance a culture of safety and accountability

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or a Team Leader within manufacturing, logistics or production
• Must work well under pressure in a very fast-paced environment and be able to work independently with minimal direction
• Strong interpersonal skills, addressing complaints/resolving problems, rewarding/disciplining employees and appraising performance alongside with the HR department
• Strong communication skills – must be able to convey facts and information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to create and work in collaborative group environments 
• Ability to invite and provide constructive feedback
• Proficient with GSuite and Microsoft Suite
• Required to be onsite Monday to Thursday 07:30-17:00 and Friday 08:00-12:00

Preferred:

• FLT license
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Compensation:

• 37,000 GBP per year base salary
• An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
• 4% employers pension contribution
