Maintenance Utilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily operations of our water, wastewater and utilities operation at the Rembrandt processing facility. Responsible for maintenance duties, including but not limited to maintenance on refrigeration systems, boilers, air, electrical, and diesel generators. Will perform daily rounds to verify that all utility systems are running as required, as well as daily water sample checks. Work closely with maintenance and operations managers to resolve process issues. On-call duties to cover nights, weekends, and vacation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain mechanical systems, including but not limited to refrigeration, boilers, and air systems.

· Maintain water and wastewater systems and required testing

· Performing daily/weekly checks of monitoring equipment

· Entering data in excel spreadsheets and maintain records

· Preventative and routine maintenance of building, equipment and grounds

· Communicate with production operators and management on day-to-day maintenance issues

· Assist with parts inventory

· Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures

· Understand and interpret company, industry, state, and federal regulations

· Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.

· Responsibility for roof and air handler maintenance

· Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Mathematical skills: General Arithmetic/Percentages/Fractions

· Computer Skills: Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Ability to read, write and speak English

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Successful candidate will be required to obtain pertinent licenses and certifications with two years of employment

 

Preferred:

· 3 years of related work experience

· 2-year degree or 4-year degree

· Boiler license/wastewater operations/

· Experience with chemicals

· Air compressor / refrigeration certifications.
