Description:
Competent to weld and performs welding according to the applicable welding procedure specification and/or drawing requirement
Knowledgeable in welding processes particularly GMAW (Gas metal arc weld) process
Capable to read welding procedure and interpret drawings requirements
Capable for hand grinding and pre-heat on welds.
Conducts visual and in-process inspections in accordance with industry and Baker Hughes quality specifications
Required to pass periodic welding tests and qualifications in compliance with qualification procedures and/or ASME IX
Competent to use measuring instruments and ensure product meets drawing requirement prior to release from weld station.
Although primary role would be welding, but candidate shall be capable to support and work in other manufacturing activities as required
Support shop activities and perform other tasks as assigned by Shop Supervisor
Support quality, safety and improvement projects in shop
Key skills
Basic Microsoft office and computer knowledge to perform daily routine task.
Ability to learn SAP and perform system transaction
Ability or willing to operate over head crane, forklifts and other material moving equipment.
Comply with company’s safety requirements including perform mask fit test, hearing test etc.
Day shift role (6:00a - 2:30p, candidates shall be flexible to work in afternoon or morning shift as per business need.
Willing to work overtime and/or weekend as per business need)
