Resident Engineer (Civil)

Hire Resolve's client, a reputable construction company, is urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Resident Engineer to join their team in Cape Town.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, and will be responsible for resolving any technical issues that arise throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards
• Monitor and control project budgets and schedules
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Resolve technical issues and conflicts that arise during construction
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications
• Prepare and present project progress reports
• Maintain accurate project documentation

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professinally registered with ESCA
• Roads experience preferable higher level roads
• Minimum 3 years post registration
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles and practices
• Proficient in project management software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license
