We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.

Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Nashua, NH. The DSP will provide support with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities. The DSP will represent the needs, wants, and interest of individuals served or supported by the program, and provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.

Pay: From $23.00/hr., based on experience and education.

The Behavior Technician is responsible for implementing treatment based on the principles of applied behavior analysis. Working cooperatively with the multi-disciplinary team and all necessary stakeholders and under the under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), this position is responsible for assisting the Behavior Analyst with creating, teaching and monitoring behavior plans and programmatic or instructional interventions.

Roles/Responsibilities: The Behavior Technician carries a caseload assigned by the supervisor, director, or department head. Individuals on the caseload may have varying degrees of need or oversight. Below outlines key aspects of the roles and responsibilities this position holds:

Implementation and Training: 

Demonstrates the skills to work with a variety of individuals of varying ages and functioning level. Dependent on service line, assists with the development, oversight, and implementation of behavior, treatment, educational, or medication support plans, as applicable. Assists in the modeling and teaching of behavioral strategies to necessary stakeholders (e.g., staff, providers). Trains the managers, DSP leads, Behavior Therapists, etc. on any plans, or individual specific training, when applicable.

Program Oversight: 

Collects data as directed by the BCBA. Implements skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor. Monitors, verifies, and documents various levels of programmatic or clinical support or service provision. This may include collecting, aggregating, or reporting on service specific data points or data collection procedures. Ensures accurate and timely reporting. Conducts procedural integrity fidelity checks and provides feedback to staff.  

Administrative Tasks: 

  • Completes all required documentation. Carry out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
  • Meets deadlines. Ensures relevant sections of electronic record is up to date and accurate. Facilitates or attends all team meetings.

Communication and Consultation:  

Effectively communicates in both verbal and written form with necessary stakeholders. Accepts feedback from supervisors to ensure the quality of program implementation. Communicates and collaborates with both internal and external team members and stakeholders. Maintains ethical and professional boundaries and guidelines. Works cooperatively and collaboratively with all necessary stakeholders. 

Education, experience and other requirements:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills 
  • Computer skills  
  • Must have satisfactory background checks
