This role is based in the Park City, Utah area and our client prides itself on building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the internal team. Responsibilities
- Client Leadership: Represent the company during client interviews, articulate software tools and processes, review design/build schedules, and set realistic expectations for final project costs. Build lasting relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Estimating Oversight: Gather and assess clients’ non-negotiable needs and preferences, collaborate with the Estimator to finalize the control estimate, and ensure specifications are captured accurately in the construction software.
- Specification and Schedule Management: Direct and oversee the design/build schedule, manage cost variances and change orders, and ensure timely client approvals. Maintain consistent communication with the team regarding schedule adjustments and any owner/designer delays. Generate Purchase Order (PO) packets and write POs for subcontractors/vendors.
- Superintendent Guidance and Support: Lead and advise Superintendents to ensure adherence to construction schedules, approved specifications, and project budgets. Provide mentorship and direction to drive project excellence and team cohesion.
- Weekly Leadership Meetings: Collaborate with the General Manager to review project status, timelines, and deliverables. Work with Superintendents to ensure progress aligns with goals and address any challenges proactively. Regularly meet with the Estimator to finalize budgets, manage change orders, and approve cost adjustments in the construction software.
- Project Turnover and Closeout: Deliver turnover/warranty books to clients and ownership, review warranties and maintenance schedules, ensure punch lists are completed, and monitor their resolution to satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on high-end custom home builds ($5M+ range) or large-scale commercial projects.
- Proficiency with construction software like Buildertrend or similar construction management software is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership in overseeing and mentoring Superintendents and project teams.
- Exceptional ability to manage client relationships, set expectations, and deliver outstanding customer support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is highly desirable.
