As Sanitation Manager you assume responsibility of ensuring the full cleanliness of production lines and GMP areas, while maintaining and holding cleanliness to the highest standards of compliance and always audit ready.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Sanitation master cleaning schedule, SOPs and SSOPs
- Oversee proper scheduling of sanitation personnel
- Ensures compliance and appropriate documentation of partnering vendors
- Inspects, monitors, and educates/trains department personnel regarding sanitation requirements/duties, food safety and compliance, and encourages reporting of food safety, environmental workplace safety, and compliance concerns
- Ensures production and facility cleanliness
- Properly and efficiently order equipment, chemicals and other necessary supplies
- Conduct effective trainings regularly as needed
- Delegate work orders as needed
- Follow and enforce all GMPs and all other applicable company policies
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in HACCP certification, requirement and compliance; ability if provide or obtain HACCP certification
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective computer skills including but not limited to use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to effectively use basic math skills and computations
- Solid understanding of pests, allergens, microbes, mold issues, and other related sanitation concerns
