The Blend Integrations team is responsible for providing the technology that connects the Blend platform to various external systems inclusive of partner platforms and customer specific integrations alike. The team consists of Blend integration engineers, solutions architects and industry partners that support our integration development.
As an Integrations Engineer, you will be responsible for leveraging the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform to build and maintain integrations that connect the Blend platform to cloud or on-premise systems. These systems may range from Loan Origination Systems (LOS), core banking systems, CRMs, etc.
Note: This is a remote role, however, it would be ideal if you reside within the Mexico City area.
How you'll contribute:
- Design, develop, and maintain integration flows using the Mule Anypoint Platform using capabilities such as the Mule Runtime, Connectors, Design Center, and API management
- Collaborate and review code with other engineers on the team to ensure each integration maintains a consistent level of technical standards as set by the team
- Communicate technical details clearly to various stakeholders of different technical expertise (solution architects, sales engineers, project managers, etc.)
- Ensure that integrations are designed and implemented as reusable building blocks as appropriate to allow for more efficient integrations of a similar type
- Design, develop, test, and support your integration through all development and production environments
- Maintain the reliability and uptime of your integrations through on-call shifts
Who you are:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience defining/building capabilities through programming languages like Java and JavaScript, outside of an integration platform
- Understanding of microservices architecture and relevant best practices
- Understanding of API and web authentication protocols and the tradeoffs between them
- Understanding of synchronous vs asynchronous communication patterns and the tradeoffs between them
- Strong data modeling skills to understand and connect external data models to Blend data models
- Experience developing highly configurable and scalable services
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Points:
- Proficiency in Javascript, including experience with Node.js and/or TypeScript
- Experience designing API specs using YAML/RAML
- Experience using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for development and maintenance of integrations
- Experience with Mule administration including configuration and tuning
- Experience developing/maintaining CI/CD solutions for integrations delivery
