Application Architect (Java)

We currently have a vacancy for a Application Architect (Java) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems;
• Data analysis and data modelling;
• Production of software architecture documents;
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture;
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud;
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least 5 years of experience with Java (both with J2SE and J2EE), relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and SQL Language;
• At least 3 years of experience with web services (REST and SOAP), with expertise in the design and development;
• At least 3 years of experience in developing secure web applications;
• At least 2 years of experience with Spring Framework, Apache Maven or equivalent and Angular2;
• At least 2 years of experience in architecture and design of information systems and in the development of graphical user interfaces;
• Hands on experience with JIRA and GIT;
• At least 1 year of experience with WebLogic 14;
• Excellent knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture);
• Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Architecture;
• Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud;
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
• Excellent command of the English language.
