As a Senior Product Designer at Vinivia, you will lead the user experience of our app and platform, and translate insights into innovative designs that resonate with our audience.

 

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in developing design systems, conducting UX research, and designing new features from scratch. Experience with both mobile and web design is essential, along with a unique blend of working on startups from scratch and at major IT companies.

Your role will involve shaping the user experience of our platform, translating insights into innovative designs that resonate with our audience. If you have a passion for design excellence and a proven track record of creating impactful user experiences, we would love to hear from you.

 

Who You Will Work With:

In this role, you will have high agency, high visibility, and report to our Chief Product Officer. You'll collaborate closely with a diverse and talented team of Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, Product Owners, and Stakeholders as you drive the development of our Mobile Experience. Together, we'll innovate, iterate, and create exceptional products that inspire creators, captivate consumers, and empower brands.

Responsibilities (How your skills and passion will come to life):

  • Lead and deliver design projects of large and (or) ambiguous scope
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our users
  • Design new flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfaces
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design system, ensuring consistency across platforms
  • Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Vinivia's products
  • Conduct UX research to understand user needs, preferences, and pain points, translating findings into actionable insights
  • Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship
  • Lead a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers, marketers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
  • Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality standards are met
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in product design, implementing best practices as needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide design guidance
  • Drive overall innovation and design excellence
 

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Must have work authorization to work in your country of residence (we don't sponsor work visas at this time). Strong preference for candidates in the United States or Switzerland, but could also be elsewhere in Europe.
  • Must-Have Experience:
    • Minimum 3+ years in Product Design and UX Design in a professional setting, with a demonstrable increase in ownership, responsibility, and results
    • 3+ years of experience building, shipping and leading software applications that are large and/or ambiguous in scope that encompass an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms
    • 3+ years of interaction design experience with knowledge of defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale. Use appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work.
    • 3+ years of visual design experience with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function.
    • 3+ years of experience driving the vision of a successful product playing a critical role in setting goals and direction while making decisions that reach a common goal based on the impact to people and the company.
    • Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.
    • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful customer-centric mobile product experiences that are informed by qualitative user research and customer discovery
    • Experience leading and guiding customer discovery sessions
    • 3+ years of experience with Figma
    • At least 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a focus on leading design initiatives
    • Strong experience in developing design systems and conducting UX research
    • Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics and user-centered design principles
    • Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, or related field
  • Must-Have Soft Skills:
    • High emotional intelligence, high empathy for others (teammates, customers) and a selfless "take one for the team" attitude
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, agile environment and deliver results
    • Strong communication (both written and verbal), collaboration, and leadership skills

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a motion designer within creative / digital agency, or similar industry experience
  • Ability to use conceptual thinking, motion principles and guidance in bringing branding to life - Expert in industry editing tools - After Effects, Premier Pro, and core Adobe CC software. Experience with Cinema 4D is a bonus.
  • Prefer 5+ years as a Product Designer in a professional setting, with a demonstrable increase in ownership, responsibility, and results
