Machine Maintenance Technician
Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

Primary Responsibilities as a Machine Maintenance Technician
• Rebuild various machines such as presses, mixers, filament winders, casting, and powder processing equipment
• Fabricate fixtures and safety shielding
• Perform mig-tig and stick welding operations
• Use oxy acetylene cutting torches and plasma cutting
• Installation of air and vacuum lines
• Machine drill and tap various fixtures per request of Mechanical engineers
• Coordinate and perform removal of equipment to be repaired off site, transport to and from various facilities using lifts, hoists, dollies, rollers, and truck
• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance as needed
• Maintain accurate records in CMMS system
• May be required to respond to 24-hour emergency calls to perform building and equipment repairs during non-business hours
• Uses power tools as directed
Required Experience & Skills for a Machine Maintenance Technician
• 2-5 years of related experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Driving background checks required
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to accurately write reports and communicate effectively with other employees
• Proficient in ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations
