We are actively looking for an office engineer! Our office engineer will assist the client Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager in administration and coordination of the project to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Duties
- Provides technical and project management support to Project Manager during the PDA phases.
- Assists PM with the development of project documentation, including meeting minutes, and project status updates.
- Facilitate reviews of the design team's deliverables, and coordinate with Metro's Document Control team to ensure the PDA Developers' deliverables are captured in the document control system.
- Reviews engineering calculations and deliverables prepared by PDA teams to verify compliance and ensure quality control.
- Performs historical document research and review; engineering analysis for design alternatives.
- Collaborates with staff from various Metro departments, outside agencies and the public on project coordination matters, as well as in resolving technical issues.
- Assists in preparation of monthly progress reports and updates to project schedule
- Organizes and maintains all records on project status and contractor performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 5 years' of relevant experience in appropriate engineering discipline, including design and construction of public transit projects or major public agency projects
