Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Liaison Officer will act as the Country Manager and be the company’s representative for all business dealings in Thailand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the company operations in accordance with the strategic plans of the organization. Responsible for managing and supervising the activities of the organization
- Ensures that all operations of the organization such as the staff, finances, and other resources are efficiently and effectively working. Act as the local coordinator by communicating the needs and support so that Planate in Thailand remains compliant and supportive of the organization
- Adapt and improve the staffing operational concept of Planate
- Works in collaboration with the headquarters and other country managers and leadership worldwide
- Mitigate any communication barrier to understand cultural nuances; Develop and foster relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Comply with Company plans, policies, and processes and ensure that their subordinate staff complies in doing the same
- Support all projects and programs, both at the local and international location
- Serve as the representative of the Country to Planate organization and to the current and prospective clients of Planate worldwide
- Act as the initial and overall point of contact for client and staff interface to Planate
- Coordinates movements and/or deployments of local nationals to host country of Planate and/or client locations. Coordinate any support needed from different support groups (e.g. Safety, Insurance, Travel, Kit, etc.)
- If necessary, conduct periodic calls with the deployed staff and/or client as needed
- Develop public relations, communication strategies, and campaigns for Planate through:
- Collaboration with the Business Development team on Marketing, Advertising, Graphics as well as provide needed support for Capture and Proposal. Identifies key geographic and cultural challenges for all pursuits
- Prepare and distribute press releases, keynote speeches, and refined promotional materials in a timely manner, to maintain good working relationships with media outlets
- Lead the branding activities of the Company including but not limited to advertising, design, and events. Advocate on behalf of the Company brand with external stakeholders and the media across all communication channels and vehicles
- Work for Company award nominations and document presence at events, conferences, and speaking engagement
- Support the non-profit activities of Planate and affiliates
- Guide, develop, and lead the team to provide outstanding and exemplary services
- Assess staff performance and provide coaching, guidance, and development plan to ensure maximum efficiency
- Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
- Provide counseling and corrective discipline if necessary
- Exhibit the highest standards of ethics and fairness
- Support other group processes and requirements such as but not limited to Insurance (Medical, Dental, Life, ADD, others), Office Administration, Vendor, and Contract Management.
- Ensure that the organization follows the local laws and regulations, liaising with the management and providing reports on the activities, ensuring financial controls are in place, and represent the organization at meetings
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the business
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
- At least 5 years of client management experience
- Able to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships
- Customer-oriented
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems
- Capable to negotiate with and influence others
- Able to analyze data and create necessary reports
- Thrives in fast-paced and high-pressure environment
