We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Agricultural Engineer to join our team. The Agricultural Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving agricultural machinery, systems, and processes to optimize food production, enhance crop yield, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. 

This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing agricultural technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and improve agricultural machinery, equipment, and systems for efficient and sustainable farming practices.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and research to evaluate the efficiency, safety, and environmental impact of agricultural technologies and systems.
  • Implement innovative solutions for soil conservation, water management, irrigation systems, and waste management in agricultural settings.
  • Collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored engineering solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability.
  • Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of agricultural equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to agricultural teams, including training on new equipment and systems.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in agricultural engineering technologies, trends, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in agricultural engineering or related roles, ideally within the agriculture or agribusiness industry.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery, equipment, and modern farming techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, simulation tools, and data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Systems Management, or a related field.
  • Understanding of environmental sustainability and the challenges facing modern agriculture.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with farmers, suppliers, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of automated agricultural systems, robotics, or precision farming technologies.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy solutions applied to agriculture, such as solar or wind power for irrigation and equipment operations.
  • Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) software or remote sensing technology for land and crop analysis.
