Our Brand Studio Team functions as an in-house creative agency playing a pivotal role in bringing this mission to life through compelling visual storytelling and innovative content. We are seeking a talented Lead Post-Production Specialist for a contract position, to elevate the quality of our creative outputs.
As the Lead Post-Production Specialist, you will play a critical role on the Brand Studio team across all aspects of post-production for our video and motion content. You will work collaboratively with our creative team to ensure that our content aligns with NerdWallet’s brand identity, channel best practices and strategic goals outlined by our stakeholders. You will help tell compelling stories in a wide variety of formats across different programs of work supporting teams across NerdWallet.
Where you can make an impact:
- Post-production execution on various types of content, including marketing videos, tutorials, branded content and organic channels.
- Collaborate with creatives, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Contribute to and maintain post-production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all content.
- Lead the editing process, including video cutting, color correction, audio mixing, 2d animation of graphics and product driven compositing.
- Ensure the final product is polished, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Implement and maintain post-production standards and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior post-production team members, providing feedback and support to help them develop their skills.
- Foster a collaborative and creative environment within the post-production of any working team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in post-production.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to software, hardware, and file formats.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure the highest standards of audio and visual quality.
- Manage and organize project assets, ensuring proper archiving and documentation.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure that post-production work aligns with the overall vision and objectives of each project.
- Provide creative input and suggestions during the post-production phase to enhance the final product.
Your experience:
- 7+ years of experience in post-production, with a proven track record of leading and managing post-production workflows.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), as well as familiarity with other industry-standard editing software.
- Proficiency in transferring static assets from Figma to Adobe applications.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and delivery methods.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for visual and audio quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience nurturing and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience mentoring team members is helpful.

- This role will be remote (based in the U.S.).
Pay Transparency & Contract Details:
- The hourly rate range for this position is $75 - $90/hour
- This is a W2 contract role hired by Magnit
- The estimated schedule for this engagement is 40 hours per week
- The approximate duration of this contract is 6 months with the potential to extend
