What You’ll Do:
- Lead and oversee all phases of software development, from concept to deployment and maintenance, ensuring that our solutions meet business objectives and customer needs.
- Work with a diverse team, including both offshore and onsite sprint teams, to deliver innovative solutions in an agile environment.
- Actively participate in code development, technical discussions, and code reviews, while mentoring junior engineers to grow their skills.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure software development aligns with our strategic goals and integrates smoothly with operational units.
- Introduce and champion new technologies and development methodologies to enhance capabilities, performance, and efficiency.
- Simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts through code refactoring, process automation, and optimization of development processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 6 years of leadership experience in software development, guiding teams to success through collaboration, technical mentorship, and a focus on quality.
- Proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and experience with event-driven architectures and cloud-native development.
- Strong background in event streaming systems such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis, ensuring real-time data processing and seamless integration.
- Expertise in AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB), with hands-on experience managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
- Ability to manage complex IT projects and work effectively across multiple teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to break down technical jargon into accessible language for stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into sound technical solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, shifting priorities when needed to meet business demands.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
