As a Cathodic Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing corrosion control strategies for infrastructure and facilities in the Oil & Gas industry. Your expertise in cathodic protection systems will play a crucial role in preventing corrosion and ensuring the integrity of assets.
If selected, the work location would be in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and other infrastructure
- Perform corrosion risk assessments and develop corrosion control strategies
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to evaluate corrosion protection requirements
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation
- Monitor and evaluate cathodic protection system performance
- Conduct tests and analysis to identify corrosion-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technological advancements in cathodic protection
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in cathodic protection engineering
- Strong knowledge of cathodic protection system design and implementation
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Familiarity with corrosion risk assessment techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
