Journeyman Powerline Technician (Grid Response )

Valard Construction LP is currently seeking qualified Powerline Technician to join our Toronto Hydro Grid Response Team. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, and team players willing to work shift work plus overtime. You will be eligible to receive a shift premium for work on the Grid Response Team. Have a full understanding of the underground and overhead distribution systems. The ability to work collaboratively with a partner to effectively troubleshoot problems within the distribution system.

• Red Seal Distribution Lineman (Must have Red Seal Certificate or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 -10 years distribution experience.
• Class 4 Rubber Glove experience.
• Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ).
• Working at Heights Cert up to date.
• Live within daily driving distance of the GTA. Local to GTA preferred.

• Living in Toronto Area.
• Previous Toronto Hydro experience.
• Current UWPC.
• Standard First Aid (CPR/AED).
