ROLE:Unique opportunity to work directly with the Global CFO at our client a leading beauty related/consumer goods company.
You will be responsible for working closely with various commercial and operational departments to ensure sustainability practices are measured and tracked against corporate objectives. Your responsibilities will involve measuring and reporting on environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance identifying areas for improvement and promoting sustainability practices throughout the organization.
In addition, you will be expected to develop a strong working relationship with the Global CSR Director located in Paris to ensure alignment with the company's global vision and mission in sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:ESG Data Analysis: Collect and analyze ESG data from various sources, such as sustainability reports, financial statements, industry databases, and third-party rating agencies, to assess the company's CSR performance.
Reporting and Metrics: Gain understanding of existing CSR reporting environment and financial reporting process in order to make recommendations on how to consolidate and automate data collection. Develop and maintain metrics to monitor and track the company's sustainability and social impact initiatives working closely under the direction of the Global CSR Director.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including CSR teams, sustainability managers, and executives, to gather data, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure alignment with CSR goals.
Materiality Assessments: Assist in conducting materiality assessments to identify the most significant ESG issues for the company and prioritize focus areas for CSR efforts.
Data Collection and Verification: Coordinate the collection, verification, and analysis of data related to ESG factors, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports and presentations on CSR performance, trends, and recommendations for various stakeholders, including senior management, board of directors, investors, and external rating agencies.
External Reporting and Certifications: Support the preparation of sustainability reports, disclosures and applications for external certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, CSRD) to demonstrate the organization's commitment to sustainability and enhance its reputation.
Compliance and Regulation: Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards (e.g., Global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), and disclosure requirements related to CSR and ESG reporting.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the company's CSR practices and work with relevant teams to develop and implement action plans.
Compliance: Stay informed about local and international environmental regulations, sustainability reporting standards and industry best practices to ensure organization's compliance and adherence to relevant guidelines.
Reporting: Support the process of measuring, monitoring, and reporting sustainability performance indicators, such as carbon footprint, waste reduction, energy efficiency and social impact.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social change.
Proven experience in CSR, sustainability analysis, ESG research, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards and industry best practices (e.g., Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) Global Reporting Initiatives, Sustainability Standards Board).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with sustainability ratings and indices (e.g., ESG Ratings, Ecovadis, CDP).
Analytical skills to collect, interpret, and present ESG data and metrics effectively.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Domo) for ESG data management and reporting.
Understanding of financial concepts and ability to analyze ESG data in relation to financial performance.
Knowledge of relevant CSR regulations, guidelines, and reporting frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and communicate CSR insights to stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with sustainable finance, impact investing, and stakeholder engagement practices is a plus.
Professional certifications in CSR, sustainability, or related fields are advantageous.
Fluent in both English and French a plus
Salary: $90,000-$100,000 + great benefits & 401K •
