Veoneer is owned by AIP and has approximately 2,700 employees in 11 countries.<br></p><p><strong>What you'll do?</strong></p><p>The Accounting Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. In addition will address tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and support for budget/forecast activities.</p><p><strong>Main activities will focus on:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Managing the financial and accounting activities within the local organization, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.<br></li><li>Maintaining the accurate and timely processing of general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.<br></li><li>Ensuring that all accounting processes are aligned with the group GAAP and the current tax and accounting legislation. Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing the financial statements (group GAAP and local GAAP) to ensure accuracy and completeness.<br></li><li>Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.<br></li><li>Assisting in implementation of new procedures and projects to improve the workflow of the finance department.<br></li><li>Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in internal and external financial audits, as needed.<br></li><li>Representing the company in front of the tax authorities during tax audits.<br></li><li>Collaborating with the managers of the company to achieve overall objectives and goals.<br></li><li>Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.<br></li><li>Supporting and assisting with accounting activities for other Group entities.</li></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>What you'll bring:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.<br></li><li>Proven knowledge of book-keeping and accounting principles, practices, laws and regulations.<br></li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial-accounting, middle-management/management level.<br></li><li>Required knowledge: Romanian Accounting legislation, Taxation in Romania, EU financial legislation (VAT, Transfer pricing, etc.), cost accounting, prepaid expenses/income, capitalization principles, etc..<br></li><li>Advanced level of English language.</li></ul> •
