WHY BOX NEEDS YOU:
Box IT Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC)’ primary role is to provide a seamless collaborative experience for Boxers with anyone, anywhere. We manage, architect, operate and analyze four major areas of the business toolset; Tele-Conferencing, Internal Events, Conference Room Experience and Internal Collaboration Applications. The UCC Engineer III will join a dynamic team of the most talented IT professionals in the industry. You have several layers to your job scope; first being the UCC team environment, spanning across tele-conferencing, events, office builds and collaboration applications. The Engineer III on the team should be agile enough to maintain this priority as well as stay organized with cross-collaborative projects that stretch to other areas of the IT organization. Lastly, your role will involve coaching and mentoring your peers, leading cross-functional projects and driving technology decisions that will impact Boxers around the world!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Collaborate with team on new conference room designs utilizing the latest developing technologies
Maintain POC relationship with broader Office Build-out team members
Managing vendors for procurement, engineering collaboration and integration
Help scale the business by developing automations within UCC team processes
Help scale and design monitoring and alerting tools
Manage vendor portfolio relationships with companies like Zoom, Slack and Ringcentral
Maintain UCC ticket backlog, utilizing Jira
Create/maintain day-to-day support & management documentation for systems and services troubleshooting.
Ensure that all infrastructure stays compliant with Box policies.
Maintain inventory and reporting of all infrastructure and computing assets.
Provide Tier III support and troubleshooting for complex issues escalated from the Helpdesk.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems and architectural standards.
WHO YOU ARE:
3-5+ years experience with UCC systems (Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing and Live Events) in a large scale corporate environment.
Experience in one or more control systems: Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Neat, Zoom or QSC
Strong ability to interact with and understand complex technical requirements across different departments.
Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including working with a geographically distributed team.
Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Ability to stay current with latest hardware and software releases.
Project management skills
Knowledge of Telephony tooling
Knowledge of IM tooling
Experience leading large, complex enterprise initiatives on a global scale
Experience with office build-out projects
Networking experience is a plus (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto Networks)
Working knowledge of essential security concepts.
One or more of the following certifications preferred: CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, BiAmp, Slack, CCNA
Demonstrate that you continue to keep your knowledge and skills up to date
Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
