Location: Remote (Headquartered in Malden, MA) – east coast United States preferred

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Growth Analyst to support our sales and business development efforts. This role will play a critical part in developing and executing commercial strategies: identifying market opportunities; developing analytical forecasts, dashboards and metrics; leveraging and enhancing sales and pricing tools; and crafting account opportunity plans – including generating compelling business cases to drive growth with our B2B customers. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in B2B commercial roles, particularly within advanced technology, industrial, and/or consumer electronics sectors, and possess a proven ability to support sales teams with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with CRO to design and implement effective go-to-market strategies that leverage actnano’s innovative offerings.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Utilize findings to inform strategic decisions and recommendations.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze potential market segments and client profiles to uncover new business opportunities. Develop targeted strategies to approach identified prospects.
  • Pipeline Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the sales pipeline to assess progress, forecast revenue, and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
  • Analytical Forecasting: Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict sales performance and market trends, enabling proactive decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Pricing Analytics: Conduct pricing strategy analysis to ensure competitive positioning. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimize pricing structures and offer strategies.
  • Business Case Development: Work with the sales team to create and present detailed business cases for customer opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Mapping: Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations. Develop relationship-building strategies to promote engagement and drive business development efforts.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to market initiatives and sales performance, providing regular reports to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a B2B commercial role, with a strong focus on supporting sales and business development efforts, particularly in advanced technology or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in market research, pipeline analysis, and analytical forecasting.
  • Strong background in pricing analytics and business case development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in stakeholder mapping and decision-maker identification within large organizations.
  • Proficiency with Excel analysis and modeling, and other associated analytical tools
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) and other analytical tools to manage data, generate insights, and communicate with the commercial team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the Automotive, Industrial, or Consumer Electronics sectors.
  • Global experience and/or foreign language proficiency.
  • Knowledge of advanced material technologies and their applications in industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing time and priorities independently.
