The Data Analyst is a key role responsible for driving the strategic use of analytic capabilities across the organization, ensuring high data quality, and optimizing enterprise reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of stakeholder needs, data governance, and data engineering principles to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions. The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT, to align data initiatives with the organization’s business strategy and ensure that technology projects are prioritized and executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business analysis and Strategic Use of Analytic Capabilities:
- Work continually with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
- High data quality ensured through early data requirements planning
- Partner with Manager and Project Lead to prioritize technology projects and work
- Enterprise Use and Interpretation of Analytics and Reporting:
- Coordinate and optimize enterprise and functional analytics and reporting
- Update data model as soon as new applications and services are being selected
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across the organization
- Create, maintain, and optimize PowerBI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes
- Data Governance and End-User Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of NetSuite, Microsoft Fabric, and PowerBI tools
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of business systems, recommending enhancements as needed
- Managing Projects, Vendor Partners, and Leaders to Ensure all Solutions are Aligned with our Business Strategy and Plan:
- Ensure contractors have appropriate deadlines set and therefore attained
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily processes, data flows, and system changes
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on data engineering best practices
- Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Data Engineering, Data Pipeline Development, Data Integration, and Database Management
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (moving data between databases) to process large volumes of data efficiently. Ensuring data is ingested, transformed, and stored accurately from various sources
- Integrate data from different systems, including NetSuite, Microsoft Fabric, and external sources while maintaining ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow across platforms
- Design databases that are optimized for data science workflows, including efficient data retrieval, processing, and analysis. This involves understanding the specific requirements of data science teams and ensuring the database design facilitates rapid and accurate data access
- The Data Analyst is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of the analytic data mart, ensuring that it operates efficiently and supports business needs
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
- Expertise in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and methods
- Familiarity with basic machine learning algorithms
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Capacity to evaluate information and draw conclusions
- A natural inclination to ask questions and explore data
- Ability to clearly convey findings and recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively
- Ability to present data-driven insights
- Understanding of specific industries or domains
- Proficiency in cleaning and preparing data
- Ability to transform data into compelling narratives
