Role Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Director of Maintenance and supervises a technical team composed of mechanics, electrical technicians, planners, coordinators spread over different shifts.
In a context of continuous improvement, his role is mainly to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, quality standards, the achievement of business results, eliminate losses, defects in production, develop team autonomy and promote a strong sense of ownership of operational processes.
Direct and Indirect Subordinates:
Direct: mechanics, maintenance planners, maintenance coordinators, electrical technicians (about 25-40 employees)
Work schedule:
• Monday to Friday quarter day (6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
• Must be flexible as needed
Salary and benefits:
• Between 85k and 105k depending on experience

Responsibilities:
Health and Safety And Environment (HSE)
Ensure the management of the health and safety of the members of his team and the respect of the procedures in force:
• Ensure the achievement of the HSE objectives of his department
• Implement preventive and corrective actions
• Conduct observation tours and preventive inspections (GEMBA)
• Ensure compliance with various OHS standards (PPE port, lockout, working at height, confined spaces, environmental standards, etc.)
• Ensure HSE training for its staff (lockout, confined spaces, etc.)
• Carry out audits of the execution of HSE tasks according to the procedures in force
• Participate in accident investigations in your sector
• Perform work order risk analyses
• Issue confined space permits
Quality:
Is responsible for compliance with the quality standards of his department:
• Ensure compliance with quality rules (documentation, monitoring procedures, HACCP, etc.)
• Ensure the implementation of preventive / corrective quality actions
• Carry out follow-ups to ensure compliance with quality verification procedures for all its staff
• Implement corrective actions to constrain quality issues
Operations and Personnel Management:
Is responsible for the performance of the equipment and the execution of the maintenance schedule:
• Implement actions to constrain production issues
• Ensure equipment performance
• Schedule preventive maintenance and weekly maintenance schedule
• Escalate operational issues to maximize speed of resolution
• Manage your teams (coaching, development, training, discipline)
• Perform the management of the time worked.
• Provide orientation and training to staff in his/her department
• Ensure the achievement of the efficiency and financial objectives of his department
• Perform troubleshooting (DMAIC) on technical shutdowns as well as recurring shutdowns
Operational Excellence:
Is responsible for adhering to Food and Beverage Heinz Manufacturing Management System (KHMS) practices and tools:
• Contributes to operational meetings and management routines (daily and weekly DDS) with indicators and technical information on equipment performance
• Supports the maintenance coordinator in the management of defects on a daily basis
• Participates in the identification and implementation of the annual project plan to ensure the improvement of the performance of his department
• Participates in problem solving activities (DMAIC) to find improvement solutions to maximize the efficiency of his department
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related discipline
• 5 years of experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment
Or the combination of equivalent education and experience
• Experience in the food field is a considerable asset
• Bilingualism
• Experience with preventive management IT systems
• Ease with Ms. Office suite tools
