School Lunch Coordinator - Delivery Driver

Position Overview:

As a Lunch Coordinator at Yay, you will play a crucial role in delivering lunches to schools. You will represent the Yay brand and create a positive experience for the school community through your friendly and professional demeanor. The hours for this position typically range from 10-15 hrs/wk.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Pick up goods from the warehouse or vendor and follow the hotsheet (route) for delivery. Clean and sanitize work areas, such as sinks and storage areas, to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Communicate effectively with school staff, local vendor partners and Yay team members to coordinate lunchtime operations and address any concerns or issues
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure meals are safe and properly handled
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing Yay as a Lunch Coordinator, promoting the company's values and mission.
• Assisting with distribution of lunches (when applicable).
• Utilizing various applications including our Yay branded hotsheets, Voxer, and Bamboo HR.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or related fields is preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for meal deliveries
• Listed as an insured party for used vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work well with school staff, students, and other team members.
• Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours, averaging between two to four hours per day, depending on the school's schedule
• Ability to pass a background check

• Ability to work with technology

Compensation:

• $20.00 per hour
• Data stipend
• Mileage reimbursement
