Senior Finance Manager

PeopleCert is looking for a Senior Finance Manager and your primary purpose is to drive financial excellence and provide strategic leadership in all aspects of financial management. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, optimizing resources, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, cash flow management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Developing and overseeing financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. 
• Analysing financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. 
• Forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual results &   approving or rejecting budgets 
• Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. 
• Establishing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Conducting periodic risk assessments and recommending appropriate risk management actions. 
• Monitoring cash flow projections and managing cash flow to meet operational needs. 
• Implementing strategies to optimize cash resources and minimize financial risks. 
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. 
• Conducting profit and cost analyses 
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. 
• Evaluate investment opportunities and assess their financial viability and potential returns. 
• Participate in business planning and development of financial strategies to achieve company objectives. 
• Communicating financial performance, forecasts, and key insights to senior management, board of directors, and investors. 
• Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory authorities. 

Minimum required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Master's in accounting, Finance, or relevant field. 
• MBA or relevant certification (e.g.CA/CFA/CPA) will be considered as a plus. 
• Proven working experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar role. 
• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping. 
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management. 
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models Proficiency in accounting software. 
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills Leadership abilities. 
• Excellent command of English is required (C2 level certification desired. 
• LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
• Expertly numerate and able to work with Microsoft Excel to an advanced degree.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Financial background check
• Employment reference check.
• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
