Job Summary

The Sales Assistant position is responsible for supporting a wide range of sales activities to help facilitate efficient operation of the Sales Department.  This position is for a highly motivated, energetic person who works well in a small group where close collaboration and to accept multiple responsibilities are essentials. This is a 4-10 shift schedule.

 

Primary Responsibilities

1.

Reports, follows directions, and provides limited executive assistant duties to the Sales Manager as assigned

2.

Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls

3.

Enter customer orders into CPG software system

4.

Invoice customer orders upon shipping

5.

Process dealer and credit applications

6.

Set up new accounts into CPG software system and B2B site

7.

Assist in collection communication for past due accounts

8.

Receive and direct visitors and clients

9.

Prepare written responses to routine enquiries

10.

Prepare, modify, and proof documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails

11.

Process domestic pre-pay orders bi-monthly or as directed by the Sale Coordinator

12.

Performs any/all other directives assigned by senior management

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·         Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and written/oral communication skills

·         Must be able to work the hours required to meet deadlines

·         Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

·         Must have a proven ability to prioritize workload and dynamically problem solve is a must in this position

·         Must have strong intrapersonal, teamwork, telephone, and customer service skills 

·         MS Office Suite proficiency and excellent writing and editing skills required

·         Must be knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping

·         Well organized and high attention to detail
