Radiologic Technologist

• Radiology Technologist works under the direction of a Radiologist, performing a variety of routine and complex diagnostic radiology procedures for the purpose of diagnosing abnormalities.

• Positions, explains procedure and sets technical factors for the appropriate examination. Performs routine radiographs of skull, chest, pelvis, spine, abdomen and extremities for diagnosis of abnormalities.
• Receives and evaluates physician orders with patient history and information.
• Assist radiologist in fluoroscopy and spot film examinations which require administration of contrast material: e.g., gastrointestinal series, barium enemas, pyelograms, joint injections and cholangiograms.
• Prepares contrast media and administers to patient.
• Operates fixed and mobile radiographic equipment.
• Coordinates patient information with PACS and EMR to save data and radiation dose.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiology program required.

• 1 year preferred.

• Basic life support certification required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (R) required.
