Product Owner - Payments

This position for a Product Owner - Payments is one of our most recent additions, dedicated to translating future state product vision and IT strategy into prioritized team roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring valuable changes are delivered with a high level of quality.

As the newest member of our Program Management and delivery team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to clarify the scope of changes, as well as plan and facilitate releases and IT governance processes to ensure transparency and alignment among teams. The Product Owner - Payments will also share and celebrate successful deliveries with stakeholders and the wider business.

As our Product Owner - Payments, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to
Planning and Backlog Management

• Managing backlog priorities according to the roadmap while ensuring clear understanding of requirements within the team
• Driving planning sessions, determining prioritization of initiatives based on feature importance, strategy, and team capacity
• Planning sprints with input from delivery teams
• Updating the roadmap as needed based on sprint progress and collaborating with stakeholders for adjustments

Delivery

• Utilizing Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and execute initiatives and epics
• Defining and overseeing the delivery roadmap for initiatives within the Payments stream
• Facilitating key Agile ceremonies, including presenting solution scope, monitoring progress and obstacles, ensuring solution quality, and enhancing workflows
• Identifying and addressing delivery dependencies, blockers, and risks
• Planning and facilitating the release process, along with managing stakeholder communications and change management

Governance

• Conducting regular retrospectives to foster continuous improvement in product development and operational methods
• Identifying and managing delivery risks in line with company protocols
• Managing cross-team dependencies as they arise
• Tracking team velocity and engagement metrics
• Providing pertinent reports on delivery status and adhering to governance protocols
• Organizing and conducting demos, as well as managing feedback collection and processing

About You

• Previous experience in building or integrating payment solutions, particularly in crypto or trading
• Familiarity with best practices in payment integrations
• Desirable experience in integrating payment solutions across different markets
• Prior experience as a Product Owner in developing payment solutions
• Experience with B2B/B2C web experiences, including back-office functionality for payment management
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams
• Knowledge of various payment solutions for diverse markets
• Experience in customer-facing web development and payment admin portals
• Exposure to large Agile environments
• Understanding of financial market concepts and terminology, including basic capital markets terms and calculations
• Knowledge of payment-related regulations in different market jurisdictions
• Strong collaboration skills, capable of working across diverse teams and stakeholders to define and execute a payments strategy aligned with commercial priorities

• Certification in Agile product ownership or business analysis
