Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Treasury Specialist who will be responsible for executing the day-to-day treasury activities for all business units in MEA ensuring that Business Units are support for their treasury needs and meet their treasury obligations.
Responsibilities:
Treasury Operations
- Initiate bank payments, recording collections and preparing bank reconciliation statements.
- Manage e-banking administrations, including initiating user set-up and ensuring approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Manage troubleshooting and resolution with Service teams of Banks.
Liquidity Management - Collate inputs and prepare cash flow forecast from all units within prescribed timelines to support timely internal investment and internal borrowing decisions.
- Ensure the cash forecast accuracy improvement of all units in-country.
- Continuous monitoring of idle cash, especially at each period end and devise actions to minimize idle cash.
- Lead continuous operational efficiency in liquidity management structure (e.g. enhance investment yield, reduce financing cost).
- Ensure surplus cash is placed in deposits with banks with acceptable credit rating in line with investment principles of Security, Liquidity and Yield.
- Ensure bank deposits are redeemed and re-invested on a timely basis.
Internal Financing - Provide inputs to Treasury Manager for preparing internal financing requests.
- Execute drawdown and repayment of facilities in accordance with loan documents.
- Ensure interest calculations and payments are accurate and these are recorded and paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure loan balances are reconciled on a periodic basis with the counterparty.
Treasury Reporting - Execute timely and accurate reporting.
- Drive efficiency improvements for Treasury reporting processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any equivalent; treasury certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in treasury, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Analysis and use of financial statements and business plans for preparing cash flow forecasts.
- Good knowledge of banking products as applicable to Corporate Treasury.
- Attentive to details
- Possess multi-tasking, proactivity, and analytical skills.
