The role and what we’re looking for
Capricorn's Area Managers are here to develop business with our existing Members and Preferred Suppliers, as well as establishing new business within a designated sales territory with the goal of achieving membership and sales growth for the organisation. Based from your own home office, travelling to meet Members and Suppliers is key to this role and as such regular travel to rural areas away from home will be necessary based on the sales territory.
Key responsibilities include:
• In line with the Regional Business Plans, provide strategies to increase membership growth and profitable membership sales.
• Execute tactics in line with strategy and deliver on business plans to increase membership growth.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of local market trends and economic conditions.
• Develop a strong network of key contacts and associates.
• Actively interact with Suppliers to build relationships that provide opportunities to grow sales.
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience
• Proven sales and/or relationship management experience with strong business and commercial acumen
• Highly driven and self-motivated
• Ability to work autonomously
• Relationship building and/or territory management.
• A passion for the Automotive Industry and experience in this field
• Able to demonstrate sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and customer relation skills
• Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Office Software Suite
