Position Overview:
We are seeking a resourceful and empathetic Eviction Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, along with the ability to manage a variety of tasks, including customer service, legal research, document filing, and sales support. This individual will also become a subject matter expert on Texas eviction laws and legal processes to effectively guide tenants and provide tailored recommendations on the best course of action during eviction proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service (Inbound & Outbound)
Inbound Calls:
- Provide timely updates on eviction cases, the legal process, and next steps to existing customers.
- Address inquiries and resolve concerns related to services, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Handle overflow calls from prospective clients, answering questions about our services and providing clear information to encourage conversion.
- Leverage expertise in Texas eviction laws to provide clear, accurate, and reliable information.
Outbound Calls:
- Follow up with existing clients to provide status updates and detailed instructions.
- Reach out to leads who have expressed interest in our services but have not yet signed up or paid.
2. Legal Case Management Research
- Conduct thorough research to obtain accurate and up-to-date statuses on legal cases using court databases and other resources.
- Analyze and organize findings to ensure all case details are correctly documented.
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in case information.
3. Legal Filings with the Court
- Prepare and submit legal documents in accordance with local court procedures.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines, accuracy of content, and adherence to regulations.
- Proactively address filing-related issues or delays using critical thinking and resourcefulness.
4. Sales Support
- Respond to inquiries from prospective clients, explain services, and address objections to help convert them into clients.
- Conduct follow-up calls to leads who have expressed interest but have not yet taken action, encouraging them to sign up and complete payment.
- Collaborate with the sales and leadership team to identify opportunities for customer acquisition and retention.
5. Subject Matter Expertise
- Gain and maintain a deep understanding of Texas eviction laws and legal procedures.
- Communicate complex legal concepts in a simple, clear, and empathetic manner to customers.
- Use subject matter expertise to handle challenging inquiries and provide accurate advice to prospective customers and existing customers.
6. Critical Thinking and Recommendations
- Assess the unique circumstances of each tenant’s eviction case.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate options and provide tailored recommendations or roadmaps for the best course of action.
- Empower tenants with actionable insights to navigate the eviction process confidently and effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of any related field.
- Minimum of five years in customer service, case management, legal research, or sales roles.
- Experience with legal processes, document preparation, or court filings is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to solve problems using logical reasoning and critical thinking.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in conducting online research, particularly in legal and court systems.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and case management platforms.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with clients in stressful situations.
