Our Commercial Finance team are looking for a Junior Commercial Finance Analyst, This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical exposure in a finance role while receiving a high level of ongoing support, to ensure success through in-depth induction, clear objectives, and focused training & development plan.
The Junior Commercial Finance Analyst will will support commercial decision making through financial analysis to align structures and processes and support providing recommendations to senior leaders to optimise and expand business performance.
This hybrid role will require 2/3 days onsite at our Stoke facility.
What will your role involve?
- Perform financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, and reporting to identify trends, benchmarking, and to increase financial performance
- Support cost-analysis and price modelling
- Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Effectively present findings and recommendations to Commercial Finance Manager and Business Unit Leaders
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting in support of business initiatives and performance
- Aid in budgeting and expenditure planning processes
- Develop experience in ERP and business intelligence systems
Who are we looking for?
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject
- Minimum 1-2 Years experience either through internships, work placement or employment in financial data analysis
- Experience reviewing and analysing costs, trends, profitability, margins, estimates, and contracts
- Experience using ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools advantageous
- Microsoft Office Suite - well-versed in excel especially
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Driving licence and willingness to travel
