Senior Simulation Software Engineer (onsite/remote)

Role description

We are focused on creating a state-of-the-art, real-time, soft-body physics engine and making it widely available for simulation purposes  and entertainment. Our most widely known product is our game BeamNG.drive, which is now available on Steam in Early Access.

We are seeking a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to participate in high-impact industrial research projects that advance our simulation technologies and services. This role involves close collaboration with our dynamic team of engineers, developers, and researchers to create, implement, and refine algorithms and tools that address complex challenges and improve our project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop & mantain the integration between BeamNG.tech and various external software platforms
• Participate in the development of new features, focusing on vehicle systems tailored to client-specific needs, including powertrain and controllers
• Design and implement algorithms that enhance project functionality and performance
• Contribute to tool development aimed at optimizing internal workflows, incorporating AI and other advanced technologies
• Collaborate with the tech/engineering team to perform A/B testing for validating business hypotheses and project enhancements
• Provide support to industrial clients and research projects, ensuring that their technical and operational needs are met
• Develop procedural content for simulation that meets the high standards of fidelity and realism expected by our clients

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in research, programming or engineering projects, particularly in software engineering or mechatronic system modeling
• Strong programming expertise in Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink , additional skills in LUA will be advantageous
• Excellent ability to collaborate across functional teams, including engineers, artists, and management
• Demonstrated experience in both primary and secondary research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative analysis
