We offer a career in a forward-looking industrial research team with a solid track record in innovation and publication and delivering its result as factual contributions to on-the-market devices.<strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>The Wearable team</strong> of Helsinki based <strong>Hardware and System Lab</strong> is seeking a <strong>Chief Biosensor Application Expert </strong>focusing on planning, design and development of the applications of next generation biosensors for wearable devices. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and testing biosensor application proof-of-concepts and researches for the next generation wearable devices. </p><p><strong>Main Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>- Build up the technical roadmap of the next generation biosensors and the applications. Help the team to understand the potentials, and to find the new directions, including health domain, e.g. hydration, blood pressure, lactate, glucose, lipids and any other valuable biomarkers, as well as the sports domain, e.g. fitness, fatigue, recovery, etc. </li><li>- Spearhead the research and development on next generation bio-sensing solutions, especially optical based biomarker detection, e.g. blood pressure, lactate, glucose, hydration, and etc., to ensure the world leading competitiveness in the market</li><li>- Manage the R&amp;D for of innovative biosensor prototype. Lead the team to deliver cutting edge bio-sensing technologies and applications to Huawei wearable products</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>- PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or other strongly related majors.</li><li>- Solid knowledge and rich experience on sports and health sensing technologies.</li><li>- Deep understanding of the physiology related to sports and health wearable sensing.</li><li>- 5+ years’ work experiences in world’s leading companies, academics or research institutes in this domain.</li><li>- Deep understanding of the SOTA of this domain, and wide connections with potential partners, including top professors, startups, etc.</li><li>- Strong team working skills, innovative mindset and a positive attitude.</li><li>- Good communication skills in written and spoken English.</li></ul><p><strong>Contract period and starting date:</strong> The position is a full-time employee position.
